WHY

Our mission is to preserve marine ecosystems by inspiring collective action.

From daily habits to climate-related events, we unite communities with purpose. By raising awareness and cleaning shorelines, we create a deep, lasting impact — keeping debris from returning to the ocean and inspiring new generations of committed, joyful ocean changemakers.

OUR PARTNERSHIPS

Project Rescue Ocean started as a simple Facebook page. By sharing his daily experiences, founder Benoit Schumann watched it grow rapidly. Today, Project Rescue Ocean is officially accredited by UNESCO’s World Heritage as “Club pour l’UNESCO” and proudly builds partnerships worldwide.

Accreditation:

Building partnerships since 2016:

“An estimated 10 million metric tons of plastic waste enter the seas each year”.

“An individual may collect 30 to 50 plastic bottles during a typical cleanup session, as bottles are one of the most prevalent forms of plastic pollution on beaches.”

We are on a mission that is committed to protecting the ocean and raising environmental awareness.
